designer and builder from the onset. This allows for a holistic approach to every project in which the Client and the
design team work together to address all of the unique challenges and opportunities that each project offers.

Methodology
Terra Design Studio has been founded on the principles of authenticity and simplicity in the process of creating
architecture and landscape architecture.
Our training and approach to design requires us to consider the project site, the context, and the distinctly unique
opportunities and challenges before all else. Additionally, our passion for design and our expertise in construction
allows a holistic approach that marries design concepts with the realities of the construction process. We are
capable of evaluating each idea and concept on multiple levels to determine methodologies that both express the
design intent and are also clear, simple and cost effective during the construction phase.
Market and Services
We specialize in custom residential remodeling and landscape design, and although we try to concentrate our
activities in the Northern Virginia area, we have worked as far north as Elmira, NY and as far south as Naples, FL.
The majority of our work is in Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, Loudoun and Fauquier counties in Virginia;
Montgomery County, Maryland; and N.W. Washington D.C. We have worked on older homes that needed
updating and/or expansion, new homes that needed customization and personalization, homes that were tore
down for new ones to better use the land, orientation and location appreciation.
